Playwrights Wallace Shawn and Al Pepe amuse their dinner party with differing versions of a story starring Radha Mitchell, one a comedy, one a tragedy. The results lack dramatic impact, but the film’s got numerous great performances, particularly Chloë Sevigny and Jonny Lee Miller. Mitchell’s good, but isn’t the protagonist in either story. It’s Sevigny in the tragedy, Will Ferrell in the comedy. And, yes, Ferrell does do a Woody Allen impression.
