I was up past midnight–not smart, work night, earliest morning of work–because I got the second wind of having an idea and wanting to figure out if it was going to work. It didn’t work. Some of it worked, but not all of it. With technology, I get wrapped up in the “neat” factor of making all the pieces work together. Then I’m either stuck with something I shouldn’t have done or I’ve got to work it through to figure out if it’s not going to work in the long term. Then throw in being dependent on unstable technologies. It’s fun to solve the problem, even if it’s technically a waste of time. Probably shouldn’t have been doing it at twelve-twenty but sometimes not sleeping on a question is better than putting unconscious distance in. Well, as long as one’s not tired.
