Sometime in the last eight years—I’m just throwing out a figure—television has hit the point where there’s more good TV than one can have time to watch. There might even be more great TV than one has time to watch. Well, let’s say outstanding. Maybe not great, but definitely outstanding. And I’m just talking about popular shows, not ones cancelled after one season where no one caught it and it was outstanding. I’m sure there are quite a few of those series too. When you’ve got fifteen or twenty sources of content, it’s hard to estimate. Especially since I don’t really care about TV anymore. But TV is a bit of a different time commitment than other media, especially with whole seasons available at once. The time commitment is different and it raises expectations. Basically, I’m just really peeved at the “Stranger Things” finale. I could’ve spent those eight hours better.
