Funny thing about blogs—there’s no way to tell what their legacy is going to be. You can look at archiving, but archived material without curation is why people can still discover things when looking at old newspapers. In the end, sometimes it turns out history isn’t all important. Most of it isn’t important, which sucks. It’s a big, big world out there. The idea of Summing Up is something I can easily do no matter what. I can do it from my computer, my phone, any computer, etc. It’s short, it’s brief, but frequent enough there’s content. It’s a generative, retrospective process blog, which may mean something in seventy-five years or no one will ever read it after this post.
