I could not disagree with you more in your assessment of this film. This is a gritty hard boiled crime movie, and Walter Matthau does a stellar job as the lead actor. The score is awesome. While watching this film I was reminded, more than once, of the Parker novels by Richard Stark. In that it was a professional criminal doing what he does best and getting away with it. I thought the writing was great, with terse dialogue, and I don't believe characters have to be likable or moral to be interesting and worth watching. A well written review, but I completely disagree for your reasoning in disliking this film.
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('18502','Karl Spaeth','I could not disagree with you more in your assessment of this film.
